Mining Worldwide history
RMW was first founded in 1989 in Germany as RMW-Montagebau. From our initial beginnings, we have expanded our operations to include open pit mining and surface mining operations throughout the globe. RMW began mining in 2007 leading to the surface miner trial in Guinea for Rio Tinto at the Simandou project in West Africa. Our most current mine operating sites are located in Perth in Australia, Memmingen in Germany and Moatize in Mozambique. In the last 10 years RMW was involved in projects for the following clients: FMG, BHP, Chevron, Atlas, Roy Hill, Rio Tinto, Vale, Main Roads, Road 2000 and Fulton Hogan.
